Wake Forest University

Wake Forest University is an independent, nonprofit, non-sectarian, coeducational research university which is located in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, founded in 1834. It has a total undergraduate enrollment of 4,823, with 47.8 percent male students and 52.2 percent female students and having total academic staffs of 690. Its setting is suburban and uses a semester-based academic calendar. 

The most popular majors at Wake Forest University are Social Sciences; Communication, Journalism, and; Psychology; Business, Management, Marketing; and Parks, Recreation, Leisure, and Fitness Studies. The university offers 40 majors and 57 interdisciplinary minors in different fields of study. Students should primarily declare a major the second semester of their sophomore year. 

School and colleges
Wake Forest has six schools. Its graduate programs include School of Law, School of Business and School of Medicine. Wake Forest College or the business school enrolled undergraduates.
- Wake forest graduates school of arts and sciences
This school provides 25 programs for graduate level study that includes 11 programs for PhD in sciences and 24 master’s degree courses in the arts and sciences.
- Wake forest school of law
This law school established in 1894 is affiliated to American Bar Association and a member of Association of American Law schools. It offers the following degrees:
o Masters of studies in law
o Master of laws in American law
o JD/MA in religion
- Wake forest school of medicine 
Founded in 1902, the school of medicine offers M.D., PhD. and M.S. degrees to 1800 students and fellows, including physicians, basic scientists and other clinical professionals. It offers programs like nurse anesthesia and medical teaching programs.
- School of Business
This school was founded in 1969 which offers six masters programs and four joint degree programs including full time and part time Masters of business administration, Master of Science in accountancy and masters in arts in management. The school also offers four years Bachelors of Science for undergraduates with majors in accountancy, business and enterprise management, finance and mathematical business.
- Wake Forest school of Divinity
Affiliated to association of theological schools this school offers a master of divinity degree and dual degree programs in bioethics, counseling and law. The school also offers a certificate in spiritually and health in association with Wake Forest School of Medicine.

Ranking and alumni
Wake Forest was ranked in the 11th positions in the “Best Undergraduate Teaching” and 27th positions for overall national universities according to the US news America’s best colleges report. According to the BusinessWeek Undergraduate Business Schools Rankings, the School of Business achieved the No. 1 rank for the consecutive six year in Academic Quality. Wake Forest's full-time MBA was ranked No. 47 out of the 455 .Wake Forest's part-time MBA program for working professionals ranked No. 1 in North Carolina and No. 28 in the national level. School of Medicine was ranked as the fourth most selective in the country according to U.S. News & World Report.
